About the Instructor:
I am Maude Moreno, the Founder of Yoga and Movement with Maude. Based in Matthews, North Carolina, I am a Yoga, Movement, and Meditation/Mindfulness instructor on a mission to make yoga accessible, empowering, and healing. My teaching motto is, "Accessible and sustainable movement and mindfulness practices without intimidation."
With a diverse teaching background, I've led classes in Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Hatha, Iyengar, Gosh lineage hot yoga, Deep Stretch, Meditation, and Yoga Tune-up balls. Beyond yoga, I have also instructed in mobility drills and functional movement.
I completed my Yoga Therapy Foundation program with Breathing Deeply in 2019, and I am certified as a Functional Training Specialist and a Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher . Through my teachings, I've assisted individuals dealing with various conditions such as anxiety, back pain, knee issues, insomnia, and trauma. I specialize in slow and gentle classes, offering a unique challenge that extends beyond the physical body. In 2022, I decided to shift the primary focus of my Yoga teaching to corporate wellness. This change was prompted by a significant medical condition that transformed my perspective, fostering a deeper compassion for the 9-5 working warriors who often face burnout and stress.
My upbringing in Southeast Asia and my experiences in the US have cultivated empathy and awareness for diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. I am dedicated to fostering a welcoming space for all on their wellness journey.
